Breastfeeding should be stopped gradually so as to make it less stressful for you and your baby. Reduce the number of breast feeds during the day time and increase the amount of top food. Try to divert your child’s attention by reading out stories, singing a lullaby or patting your child’s back. The night time feeding should be the last feeding to be stopped.

Give 3 meals and water intake along with daily breastfeeding. Consult your child’s doctor for further advice. Good luck and take care.
