Most issues related to a baby not sleeping are caused by temporary things like illness, teething, developmental milestones or changes in routine — so the occasional sleep snafu likely isn't anything to worry about. There are many causes of poor sleep in children. Kids may have physical conditions, such as obstructive sleep apnea, that prevent a good nights' rest. They may also experience stress or trauma.
