ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist7 years agoA. consult with your doctor. Most premature babies will develop normally, but they are at higher risk of developmental problems so will need regular health and development checks at the hospital or with a paediatrician. If you are worried about your child’s development, talk to your doctor..

AshaMom of a 7 yr 9 m old boy7 years agoA. Wait for a month and see. Initially baby will react ( get disturbed during sleep or startles) to external noises like horn sounds or cooker vissels but not usually react to claps or the sounds you try to make. After a month on two from then on baby will react to your voice and rattle sounds. My prematurely born son responded in the above pattern. May be you can go for a second opinion too.
