Q.

Baby had fever & loose motion last week for 3 days around 102 but he became ok , only paracetamol was given and ORS. Stool test was ok. Now again he caught fever around 102 and having running nose. What should I do?

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintaine butd by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
