Q.

baby 7 months having high temperature fo the past 2 days....got his blood test done and doc says typhoid+ve and is under medication but no improvement in his temperature...

A. Hello dear. It is better that you take a second opinion as the fever isn’t reducing. From the reports it doesn’t seem like typhoid . Could be a viral infection also

A. Hi, typhoid will take a couple of days for the temperature to come down. Please follow your doctor’s prescription and give medicine as per Doctors suggestion. Take a cotton cloth dip it in the clean water remove the extra water put it on the forehead. Keep repeating this. Keep monitoring the temperature.Wear thin cotton clothes. Avoid thick blankets. Keep your baby well hydrated. Give food in smaller quantity and increase the number of feed in a day. Please take care.
