You can't MAKE a child eat a certain food or a certain way, and even if you could would be wrong in my opinion. You can offer it, tweak it to make it more appealing, limit alternatives, encourage and reward eating it, etc, but you can't force feed your child. When she's hungry enough she'll try a semi-appealing new food, especially if eating just one bite of it will get her more of what she likes, and it looks interesting, and those around her love this new food.Have her doctor examine her for physical challenges related to eating solids if necessary, and introduce small soft chunks (such as lumpy mashed potatoes instead of smooth). Offer less puree and more solids and your child, if there's no dental or throat related problem, should adjust to eating more textures. Gradually increase more chunks and less puree until she's biting and chewing steamed carrots instead spooning pureed carrot, and biting into a soft fruit instead of drinking puree, and eating hotdogs or hamburgers instead of pureed meat. Then introduce tougher food like raw fruits and veggies, and tender meat.
