Q.

At birth my boy baby was 1.7 kg...now he turns 5 months and 2 days old having 6kg...is it normal ? How to gain weight for my baby ?

A. yes it's normal, feed as often as they seem hungry or want comforted, offer more breastfeeds, feed from both breasts at each breast feed. also do daily massage. tc.

A. From birth to age 6 months, a baby might grow 1/2 to 1 inch (about 1.5 to 2.5 centimeters) a month and gain 5 to 7 ounces (about 140 to 200 grams) a week. Expect your baby to double his or her birth weight by about age 5 months.
