Q.

at birth , his bilirubin level was 10.8 after 3 days it increased i,e 18.6 . 2 days phototherapy was taken and bilirubin level was 12.6 ,today he is 25 days old but the yellowish colour still present in his eyes and skin , how many days it will take to diminish and is there any eye drop for jaundice asktheexperts

A. Mam it can take about a week or more if you’re not keeping in the phototherapy otherwise within 24 hours in phototherapy will probably go away as of now the best that you can do for your child to keep your child into sunlight twice in a day for 30 to 40 minutes which will be helpful and give vitamin D supplement as well
