#Askthexperts my daughter is having cough,I am attaching giving her Ascoril ls past 4 days but still she is coughing very badly.i am attaching Doctor's prescription here

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cou sogh.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

See As of now you can nebulise your child if you have a nebuliser that’s going to help if it is not available with you and you can give indirect steam to your child 10 minutes as of now that’s going to help the medicine that you are giving is good enough and the prescription that you have sent is not visible
