POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. A fetus at 10 weeks of development has fully formed eyelids and well-formed digits and ears. A fetus at 12 weeks can make a fist and suck its thumb. At week 16, the fetus reaches a length of about 6 inches, makes active movements, and makes sucking motions with the mouth.The earliest evidence of a fetus responding to sound is at 16 weeks. However, the fetus starts consistently responding to external sounds between 22 and 24 weeks. Later in pregnancy, the fetus can distinguish different voices and different syllables, such as “Ba-Bi vs. Bi-Ba”.
