well ,it is normal for newborns to pass stool up to 10 times in a day and to not pass stool up to 7 days
both the cases are normal
please offer breasfeeding as and when it is needed
burp your baby well after each feeding
give Massage to your child regularly which definitely help to prevent and cure stomach problems
