Try to make your kid responsible towards his studies in a positive manner, as any kind of negativity may make a rebel out of him. Be nice and gentle with him and try and understand things from his perspective. Know about his favourite class, favourite subject and favourite teacher. Talk to your kid about what he does in every class. Ask him what does he do to keep himself focused in the class. Make a study schedule and adhere to it. Learn new concepts and revise old concepts already learned everyday. Make sure that there are no distractions like loud noises, TV, another sibling playing around etc. Try to understand what kind of a learner your kid is, auditory or visual or kinesthetic and adopt study schedule based on your kid's preference.
