#asktheexperts sir, i am a father of 3 month old baby girl. My wife is a OCD PATIENT,so she takes a anti-depression pill a day ( inosert 50mg composition sertraline). My query is that how much time before feeding she will take this pill and also is it safe to take this pill.

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl2 years agoA. hi first,it is necessary to inform a doctor prior before taking medicine as some medicine and its content can affect breastfeeding and so a child. so please contact your treating doctor regarding this.

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello in this regard it varies from medicine to medocine and atleast half an hour to one hour before taking the medication shoukd be fine and also make sure to check with your doctor before tour wife starts taking medicine and take it only of advised by your doctor
