#asktheexperts she is having Widal positive but typhoid antybodies with negative but her doctor diagnosed with typhoid she is on medicines from last 12 days . her doctor advised her RIX 100 and ZUFLO 100 DT for 10 days and now he has given her to take cefyflox -o for another 10 days. is it okay to have such strong antibacterial medicine for 20 days. her age is 6 years

If the problem is there then in some cases yes it is meant to be given and if your doctor has given it that it would be on the basis of the assessment that they have made and you can continue with your doctors advice and if the child doesn’t get better then you can take a second opinion also
