A. Cough along with Cold and fever most of the time is a viral illness or allergic and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration needs to be maintained. you can give steam inhalation which may be useful . cough needs to be treated with medicine like anti allergic expectorant bronchodilators antitussives or cough suppresents medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough and need. In severe cough nebulisation can be given where medicine directlyiii gets dilivered in the respiratory tract. Also if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose is 15 mg/ kg body weight and can be repeated after 6 hours again if required . Home remedies like Tulsi & ginger mix in honey can be tried for soothing.

A. Preventing cold and cough in a 7-month-old baby, especially if they are falling ill frequently, involves a combination of hygiene practices and maintaining a healthy environment. Here are some tips: 1. **Hand Hygiene:** Wash your hands and encourage others to do the same before handling the baby. This helps reduce the risk of infection transmission. 2. **Breastfeeding:** If possible, continue breastfeeding as it provides essential nutrients and antibodies that boost the baby's immune system. 3. **Proper Nutrition:** Ensure your baby is receiving a balanced and nutritious diet appropriate for their age. Consult your pediatrician for guidance on introducing solid foods. 4. **Avoid Exposure to Sick Individuals:** Limit your baby's contact with people who are sick, especially during cold and flu seasons. 5. **Clean and Hygienic Environment:** Keep your home environment clean and ensure good ventilation. Regularly clean and disinfect commonly-touched surfaces. 6. **Dress Appropriately:** Dress your baby in layers to keep them warm, especially during colder seasons, but avoid overheating. 7. **Avoid Smoke Exposure:** Keep the baby away from tobacco smoke, as it can increase the risk of respiratory infections. 8. **Vaccinations:** Follow the recommended vaccination schedule to protect your baby from preventable illnesses. If your baby continues to fall ill frequently, consult with your pediatrician. They can assess your baby's health, provide specific advice, and determine if there are any underlying issues contributing to the recurrent illnesses.
