Q.

#asktheexperts one week before my 8 montgs old baby suffered by loose motion with tinch of blood ( poops after every meal or snack - 4 times in a day). after one week there was no blood in stool but two or three poops. I consulted the doctor for mild fever.. he prescribed antibiotic medicines for bloody stool and fever. now my baby is suffering from cold and cough. poop is normal once in a day. should I give already prescribed antibiotics now?

A. No do not give antibiotics because this could be just due to viral load into the season or whether Jain so it’s better to check with your doctor and go for basic medicines antibiotics are given in extreme conditions but right now it would not be required
