For Loose Stools (Diarrhea):
Keep your baby hydrated with breast milk or formula. Give easily digestible foods like rice water, mashed banana, or apple puree. Avoid cow’s milk and heavy foods that may irritate the stomach. If diarrhea persists for more than 2 days or if there are signs of dehydration (dry mouth, fewer wet diapers), consult a doctor.
For Constipation:
Offer fiber-rich foods like papaya, pear, or prune puree. Give warm water in small sips between meals. Gently massage your baby’s tummy in a circular motion and try bicycle leg exercises. If constipation lasts long or causes discomfort, speak to a pediatrician.
