#asktheexperts my son is seven months old..he is got running nose..im putting nasal drops..any drops can u suggest for oral

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cjuough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Sinarist 1ML twice a day can be given to the child is the basic antiallergic that I am suggesting you so you should go ahead with giving this to the child as of now along with that nasal drops are going to be good enough and indirect steam can also be given to the child if needed
