Mom of a 2 yr 8 m old boy2 years ago
Q.

#asktheexperts my son is now 25 days, but if I make him breastfeed every two hours I don't have enough milk produced. my breasts gets full in every 4-5 hours.. if I try pumping out milk in 2 hours it's hardly 25-30 ml altogether from both the breasts. how can I get it increased. For now I am giving him formula + breastfeed.

A. after baby has regained the birth weight feed baby on demand whenever baby wants and how much baby wants More the baby is breastfed more will be the milk production. so ensure that the baby is only exclusively breastfed. baby is passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, is alert and active and gaining at least 500 grams per month then the milk supply is sufficient.
