#asktheexperts My son is 6 months old and from yesterday his feet and palm and head temperature is high and the rest of the body looks normal .tried to measure body temperature some times it shows 100.5 ,have paracetamol for every 6 hours ..now it showing temperature as 99.2 .is it okay or do I need to consult doctor....

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/jdose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours ifhu fever is repeating.
and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required
