#asktheexperts my son is 18 months old and not speaking more than two words what to do to develop his speech?

A. Toddlers develop talking and language skills through play. At 1-3 years, toddlers usually go from first words to simple sentences. Play ideas to develop toddler talking include chatting together, singing, reading and telling stories, and playing naming games.

A. 1. do not allow screen time rather engage him in real activities and play 2. interaction with the child is very necessary and needs to be done by everyone in the family 3. try and make the child attempt to demand/express his needs by not fulfilling or giving everything at once..this is very effective way of making a child compelled to speak out on his own
