POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due this month3 months agoA. For a breastfed baby, not pooping for up to 5–7 days can sometimes be normal, especially after the first 4–6 weeks of life. Breast milk is very well digested, and some babies absorb almost all of it, leaving very little waste. However, if your son hasn't pooped for 6 days, observe if he seems comfortable, feeding well, passing gas, and not having a hard or swollen tummy. If he is active and not fussy, it may not be a serious issue.
To help:
You can gently bicycle his legs, give tummy time, or gently massage his belly in a circular motion. If needed, consult a doctor before giving any remedies like suppositories.
But if he seems uncomfortable, cries a lot, vomits, or has a tight belly, it's best to consult your pediatrician to rule out constipation or other issues.
