Q.

#asktheexperts my one month baby is not going for potty from yesterday. she passing just gas. what can I do ? she born at 36 weeks.

A. if the baby is passing gas thenit is ok. her/his stomach should not be tight, there is no problem even if she/he does not do potty for a week but she/he should pass gas. do stomach massage with some warm oil regularly it will help the baby pass gas. here is a link: https://youtu.be/_6jEJ-yHvoU don't worry if it's less than 5 days or if she is passing gas.👍🏻

A. Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver. its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . formula feedvt or early introduction of cows milk in babies may be aggravating factor. proper burping after each feed is very important. Enzyme preparations like aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial.Also colicaid drops can be given.
