#asktheexperts my new born daughter is found with umbilical hernia. What should be the line of treatment for it ?

A. mostly it will go by 1 yr .Child specialist should be seen for this as proper treatment and management required a proper examination of baby by the doctor. As such no any self medication should be given to baby .

A. Most umbilical hernias are nothing to worry about, and go away without medical treatment by the time a child is 4–5 years old. Surgery is done only if: the hernia doesn't close by age 4 or 5. the hernia becomes incarcerated (can't be easily reduced)
