Q.

#asktheexperts my kid is 2.5 years old, but she speaks only one word at a time, ahe has expressive speech delay, but she sings rhymes in the full like Johnny Johnny yes papa and also she understand almost every thing I said but why can't she express her feelings and needs in words?

A. That’s because your child is only understanding rhymes and all which means a child is maybe having too much of screen time that your child only has an understanding of a constant thing that is repeating and that’s not good you need to stop giving this rhyme time and screen time to the child try to converse with your child communicate with your child a personal communicator is going to be helpful for you to increase the speech of your child and also please consult a speech therapist
