@Rashmi mam- I have not kept changing the medicines. calpol has paracetamol and has to be given for fever. if fever doesn't come down in 3-4hrs, we give sponging and give Meftal-p.
in our case, calpol didn't help, my question was should i follow same process of giving calpol and then Meftal-p as required or directly give Meftal-p. thank you 🙏

Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given ahs home remedy to decreasge fever.
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .
