#asktheexperts my five month baby is suffering from runny nose,watery eyes.what medicine can I give.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity.
try to prevent temperature variations around the child
you can go for indirect steamx inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold
continue the regular diet of the child
if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctorx
for fever and pain give paracetamol.
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.

It can be because of cold and cough. In such case you can give indirect steam with warm water twice a day or you can apply is your baby. It will help to cure it fast. Rather than this you can also use nasal clear drops to clean your baby’s nose and always try to keep your baby in normal room temperature.
