POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month3 months agoA. It’s common for toddlers to eat less and show slow weight gain even when they are active and healthy. If your daughter is strong, active, and meeting developmental milestones, it's a positive sign. Some children are naturally lean, and genetics also plays a role in body structure.
To help support healthy weight gain:
Offer nutrient-dense foods like ghee-added khichdi, banana, sweet potato, eggs, paneer, curd, and dry fruits (powdered form). Give small, frequent meals and snacks throughout the day. Avoid filling her up with milk or juices which reduce appetite. Let her eat with the family to make mealtime more engaging. Stay calm and avoid force-feeding, as pressure can reduce interest in food.
If her weight remains unchanged for several months or drops, consult a pediatrician to rule out any nutritional deficiencies or absorption issues.
