#asktheexperts my daughter is suffering from severe cold & running nose she is not sleeping properly. can't breathe also. she is one yearold

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. this can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes around the child. for cold you can give syp maxtra 5 ml to the child 2 to 3 times per day. (helps in decreasing running nose) (or any anti cold medicine) try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. indirect steam can also be given. go for home remedies like tulsi ginger honey diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. give warm water to drink if no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor

Neelam ChinnappaMom of a 7 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. thank you for reaching out to answer this question the best and the fastest relief that you can give your child is a giving steam at least three to four times a day this will give immediate relief and make sure your reaching out to your pediatrician for the medication and also apply baby with Vicks rub it will also help you baby sleep better
