#asktheexperts My daughter is 3 year old and she has habit of finger sucking. She sucks her right hand ring finger. We thought as she grows she will forget herself. I never tried harsh ways to get her forget that habit. But these days she is chewing on clothes especially edges of napkins, threads, cotton ropes, rubber bands, shoe lace, soft toys ears and anything and everything which has soft corners. We are worried and started punishing her to not do so. And I am against punishing,hitting, spanking and rude ways of parenting. Please help...
