#asktheexperts my daughter is 3 months old. I have been noticing that temperature of her head is more than her body temperature. I wanted to ask if this is the normal condition.

A. thanks for the quick response..but my baby's body temperature is normal..her head is usually hot..wanted ask abt the head and not the body temperature

A. Hello, your baby girl is 2 months old and her head is warm and body temperature is very normal so don’t worry it’s not a fever but hyper dynamic circulation

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alterngative medigcine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
