Q.

#asktheexperts my child is having fever cycle of low and high from Monday then Tuesday we consulted a doctor and on Wed got tested for cbc, widal and dengue and dengue ns1 got positive although platelates were 2.3 lacs but till today she is having fever what to do please guide

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 houdwrs if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required
