#asktheexperts My baby's seems to be soo small in height as compared to the other 2 year old kids..Any suggestions what can we do from our end for this so tht in future her height will be at least ok.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. the height of the child depends upon the genetic patterns as well as the diet the child is taking. so meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is within the normal limits according to the height of the parents or not. the doctor will calculate mid parental height and then tell you whether any intervention in the form of supplements is required orr not. it is advisable that the child should take some amount of cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily according to the age of the child. regular physical activity is also important to increase the weight and height of the child.

See The height of your child is going to be completely based on the genetics of the child maybe the other kids that you are comparing your child with are quite tall generally because the parents are taller or the genetics are definitely very different from your child so that could be the reason I don’t think so you need to compare it don’t worry about it your child is going to take a ride height with right time
