If your baby is frequently spitting up large amounts of milk, it may be due to gastroesophageal reflux, which is common in infants as their digestive system is still developing. To help reduce spitting, try feeding your baby in an upright position, burp them well during and after feeding, and avoid overfeeding. Keep your baby upright for at least 20–30 minutes after feeding. Ensure the feeding nipple (if bottle-feeding) has the right flow rate. If the spit-up is forceful, green or yellow, or if your baby isn’t gaining weight or seems uncomfortable, consult your pediatrician, as further evaluation may be needed.
