Q.

#asktheexperts my baby is suffering from severe cough it’s not let to sleep her .baby is 8months old. We are giving kofarest but no progress . Can u plz help me regarding it

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if ffever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hvdours again if required .

A. If your nebulise your child I think that is going to be helpful along with that you can go ahead with giving indirect diwas well to the child voice or thrice in a day depending upon your need that is also going to be quite a helpful thing to go ahead with
