Q.

#asktheexperts My baby is not pooping, it's her 4th day without pooping, is she constipated? She is 1 month 23 days old

A. constipation in small babies is quite commonly seen and is more with babies who are fed with formula milk. Usually constipation of few days is considered as normal in babies below 6 months of age,you can give bonnisan drops 3 times a day to your child will and give frequent feeding, usually medicines or suppositories are avoided in such a case .if baby is having gastric pain you can give collicaid jfdrops.give proper tummy time and burping to avoid gastric trouble. In case of severe constipation of above one week you can give suppository but only under medical advice.

A. hi usually it is normal but if a child is feeling constant pressure and not able to pass motion , feeling discomfort like stomach pain ,then it means that your child is constipated please continue with breastfeeding give Massage to your child regularly give Massage on stomach in clockwise direction with firm hands. move your child legs in cycling motions
