#asktheexperts My baby is 9 months old...after feeding food he goes to motion within 10 minutes daily he goes around 6 times...I am worried about about food being digested and absorbing by body because going to motion soon after taking food.from 2 months gained only 300 grams but he is active. Giving food like cerelac,pulses with rice,fruits puries...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. motions after every meal is generally seen and normal in children unless associated with some chronic infection lillike amoebiasis or may be indigestion or could be habitual also .so it needs proper assessment to rule out the cause, but if the smell colour and consistency of the motion is normal and there is no other problem like fever or vomiting you should not worry for now .
you can give probiotic enterogermina probiotic tubes 2 times a day and conlsult doctor if problem continues.
