Q.

#asktheexperts my baby is 7 months old. ebf and started giving porridge, mashed fruits and vegetables. i would like to give him supplements also. please suggest some. I want to give either nestum or cerelac. please advice.

A. both can be given. better to give home made cerelac..because.. Homemade cerelac is free of chemicals and preservatives and can be consumed fresh. . Home made porridges are better than commercial preparations. You can make a variety: sooji kheer, rice kheer, thick soups made from a mixture of pulses, cereals and seasonal vegetables, rice-daal khichdi etc. These are nutritionally rich, made fresh from home available ingredients so that your baby learns straight away to eat the family food
