#asktheexperts My baby is 6 months old and is still not crawling or sitting. What kind of solids can I give him. I am afraid if he will not be able to digest it if I introduce rice to him.

A. Hii, thank you for response. My doctor advised to give idli for breakfast. How do i give idli to him? What is to be added to idli to make it puree form to eat?

A. Rice water for babies is often recommended as a weaning food after six months of exclusive breastfeeding. Although it has less nutritional value, it is hypoallergenic and easily digestible food. Rice water lacks certain vitamins, proteins, and fibers compared to whole rice.
