#asktheexperts my baby is 3 month old. he poops every 4th day for last one month.. sometimes even after 6-7 days? do i need to give any medication? he is passing gas normally

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. it's common so Constipation in Babies less than 6 months is very common and more in formula fed babies. you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age

AbhayaMom of a 16 yr 1 m old boy4 years agoA. Hi mom No need for any medicine. Constipation is common in breast feed babies. Babies can go without poop for a week altogether and even more. If ur baby is active and comfortable otherwise, passing out urine 6-8 times in a day, accepting feeds then no need to worry.
