Q.

#asktheexperts my baby had fever and he is 4 months old. he got bulging fontanalle , consulted doctor and all the test were done ( csf ,blood test,ultrasound etc). All reports are normal. he has still bulging fontanelle but no fever what could be the reason for it . he was under 7 days antibiotic course.

A. Is it by birth or it appeared recently after medication kindly share more details and if all the reports are normal then don’t worry much is the child feels pain on touching it any inflammation

A. it appeared recently he was having fever in the beginning doctors suggested with below antibiotics clamp drops (amoxylin drops) for 5 days omnicortil for 5 days paracetamol I gave antibiotics for 2 days because fever gone after giving it then again after 5 days fever has started I again started antibiotics for 3 days . After seeing bulge we went to hospital and there he admitted under went may tests lumbar puncture blood test csf culture etc all reports were normal there they started antibiotics ceftriaxone for 7 days the very next day of starting above antibiotics , bulge disappear and became sunken. then again by the completion of 7 days course on 5th day he got bulge again . what could be the reason for that? appreciate your answer and helpful. baby is well active no pain nothing .
