#asktheexperts My baby girl is 2.5 months old. She now weighs 4.4 kg. Her birth weight was 3kg. For the last 1 month, she has gained only 0.5 kgs. Is this weight gain enough for a month? Is the weight gain not sufficient due to my breast milk quality? Please advice on how to improve milk quality with a pure vegetarian diet

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should d sleep after taking breastfeeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate breastfeeding

Your child has gained 1400 g in two months so that’s a decent in a way more than decent actually it should be minimum 500 g that we expect for a child to gain your child has gained about 700 g with excellently good so you get definitely are giving proper breastfeeding to the childWrite Your Answer Here
