#asktheexperts My baby gets stuffy nose every morning. I used saline nasal drops but they don’t seem to be working as a permanent solution. Please suggest what to do?

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a progper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prerscribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

A. Map I think you should consult your paediatrician dail advice with proper medication along with that I do suggest you that you should give indirect steam in halation to the child twice or thrice in a day that is also going to be quite helpfulWrite Your Answer Here
