Always nurse or formula feed your baby before you offer her solids. Milk continues to be the primary source of nutrition, and the baby might not eat more than a few bites. Feed the baby the same kind of food for three days before you start on another new food. This allows you to identify allergies that the baby might have, if any. You will need to puree the foods for the first couple of months. Offer your baby sips of water while you feed her.
Start with mashed or pureed vegetables (carrots, pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, sponge gourd or ash gourd).
Fruit purees like ripe and cooked apple, pear or mashed banana
SMITA MASIHMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Now that your baby is 6 months start giving her home cooked food....May be she doesn't like the taste of formula milk or she is not comfortable with bottle ...Try to feed her with bowl and spoon...Her taste buds are sensitive...May be she is bored with the same taste....So try various items that are perfect at this age for her...observe what she likes and change the meals accordingly in alternate days...Start giving cooked rice water...cooked lentil soup....a little amount of fresh fruit juice....observe and all will be well....There is one drop for vomiting...its name is Himalayan bonnisan....You can try it in case your baby is vomiting after every feed...Give wheezal gripe water as well in case of indigestion...It will be helpful in her teething also... Happy motherhood
