#asktheexperts my baby boy is 21 days old. He always want to sleep. With me sleeping with me is not a problem he always want to insert my brests in his mouth. It's very difficult for me to taking care of him and my elder son was same he s 2 year 10.months old now I suffered lot during his time this isy second bsby he s also similar to his brother weight gain is good. Only this thing s while sleeping can I give pacifier to him?? I didt give pacifier to my elder son but due to sleepless nights I am suffering so just fr concern am asking can I give pacifier to him.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. there is no problem in using pacifier / nipple if cleaned. the problem arises
when it falls ddown and goes again inside the oral cavity of the child without proper cleaning and sterilization.
if it is not cleaned and goes in the oral cavity can cause infection and cough and cold and loose motion

for now , please don't give her pacifier
please consult your pediatrician and investigate of your breasts milk supply is enough and make sure thar she's not suffering from deficiency
