#asktheexperts my baby 1 year 2 months.. suffered with cough without cold...is that due to added sugar and cost biscuits and cake etc..or normal cough...I am very sad..I use small amount of sugar and small amount of biscuits was given to her...ut cough due to what doctor

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
coufdgh needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given onrly after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. One of the most effective Indian home remedies for a runny nose and cough in infants is coconut oil and camphor. Mix some camphor in coconut oil and warm it up. Apply this only gently on your baby’s chest, back, and neck. This may not only help in clearing the congestion and runny nose but may also help him sleep peacefully.
