#asktheexperts My 7day baby girl had a thyroid test done today and TSH level is 8.609. Is this normal for a newborn baby? Does this mean my baby have a thyroid ??? plzz answer I'm just worried about my baby bcaz I'm having thyroid and taking 25mcg thyroxi tablets....plzz answer..here I'm attaching the report for reference

A. Yes it is thyroid positive as a the TSH level of the child is much higher than the referral rate that means this is thyroid positive further it has got no connection with you being thyroid positive rest you can check with your doctor and proceed with what they suggest you
