Q.

#asktheexperts My 6 months baby is having ascariasis (roundworms). After giving 5 ml of albendazole yesterday still there are eggs in the stool. Though the worms have died but I am concerned about the eggs if hatched and worms come out ? How to cure it completely? Also my baby is having loose, sticky and green stools past 18days.

A. Hello ma’am See you cannot give this dosage once again because it is given only once and then the second dose is given after six months only if it is needed. But since you mentioned that there is stickiness into the stool then it could be due to some stomach infection also so I am going to advise you to consult your doctor ones for a proper stool test ones regarding the same
