Q.

#asktheexperts My 6 month old is trying to self soothe (suck on her thumb) and sleep, but is unable to. Most of the times, I have to rock her to sleep by walking her in my arms while she self soothes herself. Any ideas on how to deal with this? I appreciate that she's trying to learn to sleep by herself, but I would like to help her. She doesn't even want to latch on and sleep at times.

A. Teether can be given to the child because with the behaviour that you mentioned it seems like a child is having its teeth which is why your child is taking finger or come into the mouth and that’s very convenient for them so you can replace it with an object which is going to be better to be used in this time
