Q.

#asktheexperts my 5 month old is not having sound sleep. He wakes up too often in half an hour during night and constantly needs to be fed or just wants to be in that position. If I withdraw myself, he gets cranky and cries. Please help.

A. He’s constantly fed throughout the night and has started spitting up curdled milk for past 5 days. Mattress is the same as before. I don’t know what the reason.

A. it is important to rule out any type of discomfort the child is experiencing. sometimes it can be due to colic pain as well as due to some irritability or some discomfort in the mattress on which the child is sleeping which has to be taken care of. for small children you you can use a swing as well as do swaddle as well as take a walk or you can take the child in the car which will help in improving the sleep of the child you have to also rule out hunger which might be causing sleep discomfort
